Merry Christmas From Ruby Blue!

The good news is Yes! Father Christmas does exist and Yes! he is a big RUBY BLUE fan as you can see from this photo when we caught up with him preparing for his busiest day of the year.

More good news is that Radio Wave's Andy Mitchell - pictured here with Blackpool South Rotarian and all-round Darling Elaine Fossett (she's also Aled Jones' mother in law by the way...) - will be playing a track from the Ruby Blue - Just For You CD on his special show on Christmas Day morning from 6 to 10am.

So make sure you tune in to that on 96.5FM - you can also listen online at www.wave965.com so there's no reason for anybody to miss it.

Happy Christmas from all at RUBY BLUE.

Free CDs for Ex Servicemens Charities!

The CD was recorded back in October when Vicky Ross (right of CD sleeve / left on photo below) was still with the band and presented to the Royal Marines Association at a special photo shoot at the Carousel Hotel in Blackpool. These photos were then used in the media to support the highly popular "Shoeboxes For The Troops" appeal and Ruby Blue made the front page of the Blackpool Gazette!

The good news is that a limited quantity of these CDs is also being made available to any Ex Servicemens' Charity that wishes to use them as a fund raising measure - preferably as an auction item at a large event.
If any fundraiser from a recognised ex-servicemens' charity would like to receive a free copy of the special limited edition CD, please e-mail ttnrecords@btinternet.com.

Girls' Night Out A Great Success!

The Girls' Night Out held in aid of Breast Cancer Research was a tremendous success with over £150 being raised for the charity and the numerous local independent traders gaining some great exposure.
Ruby Blue gave a great performance and, midway through the second set, unveiled their brand new line up, introducing Amanda and Abigail to the delight of the audience.
There was also some great dancing by the Revolution Dance crowd, led by teacher Bev (the Jive Diva) who brought her group along to demonstrate how much fun modern jive can be.
In the picture you can see (L to R)Lisamarie and Olivia, organiser Janet Lancaster from OOh La La Fashion Accessories, Jive Diva Bev, Amanda and Abigail.

Launch Night Party - Here's What You Missed!

In case you weren't at the launch party, here's a brief taste of what you missed out on...

The other acts on the bill were Lucy Coffey a young vocalist from Kirkham near Blackpool and Andy Severyn - a guitar/vocalist from St Annes on Sea.

We were lucky to have some dancers from Revolution Dance to add to the colour of the event and Claire and Rick were a great advert for their dance classes. Special guest entertainer local magician Johnny Hardy did a good job during the interval keeping everybody entertained with close up table magic.

Revolution Dance offer classes at various venues - they are great fun and the routines are easy to pick up so do check out their website for details.

Launch Party Night At Carousel Hotel Blackpool

Ruby Blue held a special launch night party on 19th November in Blackpool where they presented their live set to packed house. They decided to make the evening a benefit night for the "Help for Heroes" charity. Here are Lisamarie and Olivia with Arthur Roe from H for H.
The evening was supported by local cadets from Wingate Company of the Lancashire Army Cadet Force who collected donations, sold raffle tickets and welcomed guests upon arrival. Their help was invaluable towards making the evening the great success that it was.
